CAN EARN REBATES WITH NEW CARD
Concho Valley Electric Coop. now offers a credit card product to members featuring a rebate function in which cardholders can earn a 3% rebate on regular power payments charged automatically to the card and 1% rebates on other transactions. Cardholders who would rather not have power bills automatically charged can call or visit the co-op to make a payment and receive a 2% rebate. Rebates are tracked on the card statement and when $50 is reached, a $50 check is printed on the bottom of the next card statement. Cardholders can earn a maximum of two $50 rebate checks per year and can carry up to $50 in rebate points into the next year.
The Concho Valley Electric Coop. Power PlusTM Visa® rebate card features a 5.9% fixed introductory annual percentage rate (APR) on purchases and balance transfers for six months following the opening of the account, and a 15.99% variable APR after that.
The card, issued in conjunction with First USA Bank, N.A., is available in Platinum and Classic and features a host of benefits in addition to the rebate.
One of the major benefits of the card is payment convenience, its developers say. Some 15 million merchants worldwide accept Visa cards today including most supermarkets, petroleum stations, hotels, retailers, restaurants and even the postal service. Each day new fast food outlets, doctors, dentists, small business owners and even government entities begin accepting bankcards.
